But if you are a family of 4 or 5 with only one or two paying the tickets. What would you think was more important price or service.

Family of 5 (2 adults + 3 kids + baggage) transporting them 50miles to an airport when there is one closer, then also having to deal with the 50mile return journey back home after a 12 hour longhaul flight? It's simple really - convenience is very important here.
