LHR T5 Arrival Club Europe, no status - Arrivals Lounge or any other nice place?

Am arriving at LHR T5 in Club Europe at 10:30 am. Have one or two hours to kill before heading off to client. I assume no arrivals lounge access (have no OW status)?

If so, what other place would you recommend?

There's a Costa Coffee in Arrivals and a number of other options up on the departures level, if I were you though I'd head into town and pitch up somewhere near the clients office

Status would have made no difference if you were arriving in CE...

You could also try the Sofitel adjoined to T5, as that has a nice lobby/bar/restaurant and have a tea/coffee or something stronger there. Carluccio's upstairs in the departures area is also fine.

I think the advice fromCap'n Benj is best though, head to your client's office and find a nice coffee shop/hotel near by to relax in. Unless of course your client's office is in the middle of nowhere or on one of those big industrial estates

Caffe Nero on the arrivals level would be my choice.

If you want to sit somewhere nice and quiet I would just go to the Sofitel - it is quite nice in there.

Brain said departures, fingers typed arrivals. Nero is - of course - at the north end of departures.

Location! Location! Location!

Caffè Nero is a great spot to while away an hour - their java is just so much tastier than the crud served at Costa. Perfect vantage point for people and plane watching (northwest corner of the check-in hall)

Like so many other important things in life, coffee choice will always be an emotive subject Each to their own ^
