BA Open Day 3rd September

Is anyone else going to this? Myself and the OH are going.
I saw it advertised in this months BAEC email.

What email? Have I offended BA? Or is this a 'regional' offer?

Has anybody been before?
Not having any younger family members to take is there plenty to satisfy the geek in myself?

oooh ... Currency Exchange with Travelex.
You can purchase your currency online, commission free*, and your money will be ready and waiting for you at the airport. Or you can simply pick up your currency when you’re at the airport. Click on the button below to order your travel money now.
Does nobody proof-read this stuff?

That has just prevented me exploring the next page .... its GARBAGE.

Maybe it's some kind of teleport action going on - your money materialises in your wallet ready for you when you get into the airport, as well as the usual alternative of going and pick it up.

I'm trying to remember where I used to get Forex on-line - delivered in two days. All I need is a hundred GBP [if that] in $JAM. It's probably bookmarked on the other computer.

Or I might walk to the Black Horsey thing and wait in line for half an hour, fill out loads of paperwork, and then have to go back a week later, etc etc.

Thank you for those words of comfort!! I escaped from Northern Rock 2 weeks before the collapse, and got 90% of my money out of Kaupthing in the last 10 minutes [I now have the residue]. I don't want that again!!

Sorry I am being a bit negative today. I am sure Jersey will be fine.

One of my accounts is with something called RBS. They are closing my branch in the town I am at the moment. But dont worry they are also selling my account to Santander. I know I am bad, I just didnt think that bad.

Yes, I've booked two places. It looks like an interesting experience so thank you BA for providing it.
