Twice weekly?

That's pretty useless although any new MAD service to GLA is welcome at the moment.

I had heard that Air Nostrum makes FR look like a super deluxe all frills airline!

Can't open the link, but I presume that's a typo, and that it won't actually sit on the Tarmac at GLA for 24 hours?

As above, it's welcome as a possible weekend destination (both ways, O guess), but can't see me using MAD as an alternative hub.

I was treated very nicely in business last summer MAD-MRS and MRS-BCN... Full meal service (comparable to Club meals), decent wine, friendly FA's, standard seats... the only complaint would be that it is a small plane, so I imagine it can be somewhat claustrophobic on a flight of more than an hour...

They are mostly Canadair 1000s and only 18 months old, so no worse than flying Cityflier really.

Per wiki, the majority of their jet fleet are CRJ200's - which is what I got for the short flights to Marseille... they are about half the size of the CRJ1000's

well it's a start. The planes are small but leg room is ok. Flight from Madrid to Dublin a couple of weeks ago was fine and terminal 4 at Madrid is pleasant.

Interesting! Smells like a new thin route kick started by a Government sponsored agency. Problem is these routes historically demonstrate zero staying power, lasting a season at best.

If MAD is to become a serious hub, IAG needs to apply greater frequency - daily or twice daily at the very minimum.
