Transfering Amex MR points to BAEC

Hi,

I transferred two days ago my 30K MR points to BAEC, I still haven't got them but they instantly disappeared from my Amex statement.

I am in a hurry as I want to book two seats on a flight that currently has only two seats available for redemption.

Has anyone more experience? How long can take?

The address that I have on my Amex Gold card is different than the one that I have on my BAEC, is there a problem with that? Like with the BA Amex cards?

My AMEX address is in the UK whilst my BAEC account is based in Romania (genuine I might add), and I had no problem transferring MR points.

It took a couple of days if I recall correctly.

I suspect that this sort of processing is done overnight. So although the points get removed from the Amex system immediately, they don't get processed until overnight and are then sent to BA. BA in turn don't process till the next night and at best they appear in your BAEXEC account the following day.

The last time I transeferred MR points to BAEC it was almost instantaneously. Maybe that's because I'm USA based??? The last I transferred SPG to BA it took 5 days. Hope they show up for you soon!

it does take around 2 days or so in the UK for MR xfers to BA.

its quicker in the US as they have a speedier interface with BAEC (real-time, I believe)
