What a difference a year (or even 10 months can make)
After 10 months of only 2 flights due to a bit of nasty chemical stuff medical treatments (all good now) I have just ramped back up to normal flying again and I have to say it feels like BA is on the ramp up once again. Few thing that may or may not have been aorund before but certainly made me happy over last few week:
* Renewing my status despite not having been flying (8yr as gold though)
* Fast track boarding in operation on domestic from LHR
* Boarding at GLA onto flight from gates 19 and 19a - so going twice as quickly
* Enjoying the new F seat
* No gold card required for access to FLounge at LHR - not even asked for it
* Blackberry app and mobile boarding saving me time
* Threat of strike gone
* One world expanding the MH
* Bit of millionare shortbroad in lounge at GLA
and some bloomin great cabin and ground teams who still make you feel special!
Key tests to come:
a) Will the champagne be flowing at Taste of London?
b) Will the wonderful Gatwick staff be as good as ever on my Malaga trip tommorow?
I know there will been a few downs too but you see life not all bad and BA does keep going forward!

Welcome back indeed.
Ahh ... but, but, but, compared with 12 months ago ...
Volcanoes ... smaller threat, but still there.
Strikes ... minute threat, but still there.
CW Food ... still causing complaints.
YQ Charges ... still upsetting the Americans.
Chase Miles ... still upsetting the British.
EuroCheats ... still upsetting everyone!
Gold/Silver ... still fighting over 64K [and other seats]
There's nothing like a good moan. My wife says I'm getting like Victor Meldrew, which is completely unfair. I have more hair, and I'm English

alas it would not be the BA board without some negatives at the mearest hint of a positive!!!
that said even the negatives you come up with seem to have progressed in the right direction (a few exceptions granted).
The best solution I found for club world food is fly in First or Premium Economy (joke!!!)
