The Daily Mirror is read by people who think they run the country;
The Guardian is read by people who think they ought to run the country;
The Times is read by the people who actually do run the country;
The Daily Mail is read by the wives of the people who run the country;
The Financial Times is read by people who own the country;
The Morning Star is read by people who think the country ought to be run by another country;
And The Daily Telegraph is read by people who think it is.

Sir Humphrey: Prime Minister, what about the people who read The Sun?

Bernard: Sun readers don't care who runs the country, as long as she's got big t*ts.
the only slight edit there is the country has been run by Guardian readers from 97 until recently. its certainly been erm interesting.

Do read what I wrote, Sausage. You know, starting the left and working through to the right.

Not racist. But number one with racists.

Last time I checked I wasnt a sausage. However by BA's cooking skills I have little to worry about.

The DM readers arent racist at all compared to the readers of the Sun and Express.

Couldn't agree less about the Sun. It may have its faults, but racism isn't one of them. The Express on the other hand.....

And of course, it's absolutely true because I read it in the Daily Mail.

If you're now under the impression that Trotsky was murdered with an axe made from sapient pearwood, you have only yourself to blame.

No, no, NO! That is not the Flyertalk way!

The correct answer is to tell the OP to fly F, or do enoiugh TP runs to get a CCR card. (God forbid you should have to pay for your own newspaper when flying, rather than spending £8,000 on an F ticket.) The CCR always seems to have plenty of copies of pretty much every major English newspaper and a few funny foreign ones. No Mail dominance in there.

As most of the people I see that purchase their copy of the Telegraph pre pay therefore its in their interests to get their copy when they can.

Indeed.....why should someone who enjoys all the other benefits of status gained through flying paid by their employer have to buy a daily newspaper. Shocking suggestion.

Someone wrote a letter to the Telegraph this week.

Why didnt we pay Gordon Brown £50,000 a year to do lecture tours of the US. That way the UK would be in a better place.

*outs self as Torygraph reader*

Although the ability to get a refund if you've not used 7 days vouchers negates this slightly - if I've got a run of trips I tend to forgo the paper via vouchers on a couple of days and either buy it off the shelf or pick up something else, and get a refund.
