the west coast may have an early evening peek at seats, but since the operators close shop at 5pm, you couldn't book complicated, open jaw or 2/1 tickets. just straight web redemptions.

Yes you need to call for the free cancellation within 24hrs. No idea why you picked this thread to ask the question though..

Well, I came from the BAEC dashboard which has it listed as "Award availability and fees" and I figured the "clinic" thread might be a better place to ask a quick question like this rather than opening a new thread.
After I posted I saw the full thread title and you're right, it's not really related.

Also I was having some problems with search earlier and it kept coming back with an error (likely my end, not FT's )

I have a question regarding an (intended) oneway F award from the US west coast to Europe. I want to book 2 oneway F awards next July but there is only availability for 1 F seat on several dates. Is it worth calling and ask for a second award seat to be open up? I would also book CW but CW availability looks even worse with only one open seat on one date in July.

I wouldn't bother, the answer will almost certainly be no even if you have status with BA.

This is what I thought/feared. One of the few things were LH/M&M is certainly a bit better…

Availability on popular US routes is probably going to go off to zero now that Chase has brought back its 100K intro bonus

Are you sure? Where did you see this reported/advertised?

What are the fees for an Avios return flight from GLA to DXB in PE on Qantas?

I tried doing a dummy booking but it came up with an error message.

For LHR-DXB on QF the taxes/fees/charges total £590.26. Adding GLA-LHR will increase that a bit. Not very good value at all..

QF YQ surcharge (YQ) £393.00
United Kingdom Air Passengers Duty (GB) £138.00
United Kingdom Passenger Service Charge (UB) £44.96
United Arab Emirates International Advanced Passenger Information (API) Fee (ZR) £0.80
United Arab Emirates Passenger Service Charge (AE) £12.70
United Arab Emirates Security and Safety Fee (TP) £0.80

Following on from a recently closed thread. I have been looking to get a friend out of SFO tomorrow (on Avios) and BA dont seem interested in releasing any "premium" seats. Last night there were at least WT+ seats but BA have even pulled those (even though there has been almost no change in booking numbers)

Oct 26th

BA284 shows F3 A3 J9 CL DC RC IC W6 E2 T1 Y9 B9 H9 K4 M4 L2 V2 S1 NC QC O2 G1
BA286 shows F5 A5 J9 C2 DC RC IC W9 E3 T2 Y9 B9 H5 K1 M1 LC VC SC NC QC OC GL

And yet, with 24 hours to go, all I can get is one lousy Y seat on the 284. Why ????

They look like reasonably heavily booked flights. And one X class seat on BA284 but nothing on BA286 would be consistent with the former having V2 G1 but the latter being VC GL.
