What happened to last night's BA247.

Does anyone know what happened / is happening to last night's BA247 LHR-EZE ?? Looks like it got diverted to Lisbon and is due to make an overnight stay in Sau Paulo before eventually making it to Buenos Aires tomorrow afternoon. Customer services couldn't tell me what happened apart from the computer said it was due to "commercial publicity".

I'm taking the flight in a couple of days and I'm curious about its punctuality.

I have done the 246 and 247 and it was on time (early) both ways. You might enjoy reading my trip report linked below.

I flew all the way to EZE in Club World.

It landed in Lisbon 1am local time this morning (3.5hrs after take off) so it seems it would have turned back and landed there.

Very relevant. Amazingly, I've flown it too, a couple of years ago amongst lots and lots of other BA flights in general...I'm sure thousands of people have in fact flown it. Across all the cabins. Quite what bearing that has on last night's flight diversion which the OP is trying to find information on, however, I have no idea

I imagine he was replying to the OP's question about punctuality.

By the look of the pic on Aviation Herald, its days of miles earning are long gone...

Medical emergency, diversion most probably advised after speaking to Medlink.

Doesn't Amadeus normally report that as a medical emergency, though, rather than what is listed in BA6501's post? Or is it reliant on whatever code someone in Ops has typed into the system?
