Mileage on BA code-shares?

Under the new rules since Oct 1, a Gold member flying First Class on AA between JFK and MIA earns mileage at 250% (basic miles + 100% for Gold + 50% for F).

A flight on BA metal in F earns mileage at 300% (basic miles + 100% for Gold + 100% for F).

Question: does it have to be on BA metal? e.g. JFK-MIA can be booked as a BA code-share. Would such a code-share earn 300%, please?

I would assume that if it was booked as a BA flight then it would get the 300%

Any fresh info, please?

An old post, but the question is still valid.

Any thoughts, please?

Hi,

The BA codeshare can only be booked with a connecting BA flight IIRC.

I think the following applies

If the BA flight is CW then the BA JFK-MIA will book into business ( you will still be seated in the F section on a 2 class aircraft) ( I would think it would be the BA mileage ie 100+100+50) ie 250%

If the BA flight is F then BA JFK-MIA will book into F. ( ie 100+100+100) ie 300%

I am doing EDI-LHR-LAX-LAS in CW ( LAX-LAS on AA metal but BA flight no)
at the end of April/ May

Regards

I've flown LHR-JFK-ORD-LAX-LHR in F: TATL on BA metal and domestics on AA metal all with BA flight numbers. I was credited with 300% mileage (as it was then) on all flights.

Don't know what the mileage would have been if the TATL flights had have been booked in J.
