OT - Pandora Changi Aiport

Hi there,

Just a couple of quick questions

Is there any time for shopping at Changi when traveling through to London on BA016?

If yes.... does anyone know if Pandora jewelery is cheaper to buy there?

I can't tell you about prices, but, assuming you arrive on time, you'll have just short of two hours in transit. The new Pandora shop is also in T1, so that should give you a good chance to visit.

Jenbel, I will be in T1 Sunday night and will check for you. Being a typically useless male when it comes to buying jewellery, am I supposed to look for anything in particular?

And what are you wanting to compare pricing to? The UK?

That would be great Eightblack

They price the beads by category, so if you could let us know (in Singapore $) how much they charge for the silver beads and also the Murano glass beads, I can compare the price to the UK and NZ

One thing to keep in mind is there is a premium for changing money at the airport. If you use a credit card there will be a foreign use charge for that and it is quite high for cards like AmEx. Thus, whatever price there could be 2 to 3% higher than what you pay because of the charge.

Checked T1 at Changi for you about 10-mins ago!

Price for Silver beads SGD$39 ea
Price for Murano Glass Beads SGD$54 eac

If you purchase $150 worth - you receive a $20 voucher to use next time.

Hope that helps and its cheaper than elsewhere.

Cheers

Folks, the OT discussion about capital and corporal punishment in Singapore, while interesting and worthwhile, was drowning out the intended content of this thread. I've split the two threads, and removed a few references.

Please continue to discuss Pandora goods at SIN here, and please continue to discuss aspects of the Singaporean judiciary in OMNI/PR here.

Many thanks,

Thanks for that eightblack - that seems about on a par with UK pricing.
