MAN-Scotland via LON - no can do?

Consider me a mileage junkie if you will, but in trying to book the above routings (not on ba.com, obviously, but Expedia) I can go MAN-LON-ABZ but not MAN-LON-EDI or GLA. Anyone know why that is, and if there are any clever workarounds?? Want maximum number of segments for tier, as not going to get it flying cheaply, but don't want ONE booking obviously to get me all the way to Scotland.

Use the multi city function on the ba.com booking page.

You can (or could last year) book it on ebookers. You get some funny looks when you have your onward BP scanned at LHR before going up into the terminal.

aa.com has always offered strange routings like that. My favourite was (something like) EDI-LHR-LGW-ABZ-KOI/LSI (can't remember if it was the Kirkwall or Shetland do), for about £1200! :eek:

Alas Jenbel, £400 each-way in discount econ!

Finally folks, can you I away with 1hr 5mins in LHR, with hold luggage, or is it better to give myself the extra 20 mins and take the 2100 lhr-man, rather than the 2040 (can't below both run, surely?)?

Thanks all ...

60 mins is the MCT for a T5 -> T5 transfer.

Doesn't mean you or the bags will make it - you just should ;)

For the sake of 20 mins, I'd probably take the later flight, particularly with checked bags.

I made a day of it and enjoyed the Bolly for a while!

Those were the days....

Yes, and to reiterate a point I've made before on here, as a result of bitter experience, do make sure that in their funny look phase they take your photo properly at this point, or you may not be allowed to board your connection - and have to be escorted back landside to start again. :mad:
