Best use of 2for1 voucher?

What's the best use of a BA UK Amex 2for1 voucher? Has anyone had any luck getting RTW or multicity tickets with it?

I've got around 300K BA miles, can easily pull in another 100-200k from SPG, MR etc. How did you use yours / how would you spend it?

Thanks!

I've used mine over the last couple of years on an F to MRU. 12 hours+ on the plane for 150,000 miles for 2, seems like good value for me.

Im not sure if it can be used on RTW or multi ity, someone with more knowledge than me will be along in the mo Im sure

A 241 can only be used on BA metal, not on other OneWorld airlines, franchises or code shares.

So RTW is not possible, as BA don't have any round the world routes.

Multi city is possible, as long as it is on BA metal.

Best value, is as far as possible, in First, or to the destination where the paid ticket price is the highest.

One routing I'd say fits the bill, is LHR - BKK - SYD - SIN - LHR in First.

Best value? The place you and your +1 most want to go to. ^

You could probably get extra value by tacking on some domestics too..

eg. ABZ - LHR - BKK - SYD - SIN - LHR - ABZ

If you use your 241 to have a great trip in great company, then that's the best value you can get from it.

wouldn't LAX - LHR - SIN - SYD work as it is all BA-metal?
Edit: No stopovers on the un-direct route, and that way around the globe ain't the shortes I assume?

No, kexbox, afraid it has to originate from the UK.

2for1s must originate in the UK.

Domestics only add £5 worth of value and about £35 worth of tax each way...not worth it imo.

I think one of the best value deals is LHR-LAX in F as that is only 150,000 miles for a couple of rather expensive tickets.

...and that's exactly what I've done! Used 2 x vouchers and 300k miles. Exact same 4 x F to LAX tickets would cost £28k!

...you got to love it....

Best value I had from a 2-4-1 was LHR-JFK on Concorde and back in F - 160,000 miles IIRC (plus a little tax in those days). Not possible anymore, for obvious reasons.

But agree with others - best value is to go where you want to, not neccessarily maxing out the miles or £ value!
But don't waste it on a short haul Y!!

We've used ours to CPT, JNB & GND on several occasions. As we're not over flush with miles we go J which is fine. However, remember that on popular routes you need to book early, just as you do with miles for upgrades.

Yours must. My 2-4-1 must not. Issued with Barclays Germany and good for everywhere in BA-Land. Eg for Düsseldorf-Billund-LHR-Bangkok-SYD-Singapore-LHR-Billund-Düsseldorf...
