Quickie Mileage Check

I appreciate that BA don't fly to NZ...be that as it may, does 120k miles (BA miles award,) 'down the back' ex London with a BA partner sound right ? (and not 100k ?) Thanks.

I think it should be 100k:

- assuming only 1 partner airline.

Should be the same for BA + 1 partner I think.

If it involves two or more partners, they need to be oneworld partners, and it is based upon the miles in the journey:

So if distance is 20k to 25k (return) then 120k BA miles might be correct if multiple partners.

Thankyou !!
I booked last night, BA and Qantas out to Auckland, and return back by Qantas all the way, in March/April.
The printout before and after I got to paying for it shows 120000 miles,( I have it in front of me,) + taxes of £370.30.
I called the helpdesk but the lady could not tell me why the additional 20,000 miles.

What's your routing? If it was LON-SYD, and then onto Auckland or Wellington etc., is it possible that the 20,000 miles will be the Trans-Tasman trip?

Have a great flight regardless - it's a wonderful country.

I stand corrected, but I'm not sure that the routing should make a difference. BA + 1 partner = 100,000 miles.
My routing,
BA London - LAX
Qantas LAX - Auckland, and home,
Qantas Auckland - Sydney
Qantas Sydney - London
