Gutted - Just missed out on the new mileage rates for Blue EC members!

The first time since February 2009 that i'm travelling for work, and it comes down to a choice between Y on BA, or Y on BMI, with the later winning out purely because of the direct EDI-CPH flights at the times i need for next week. All booked (non-flex of course, to keep costs down) and then a few days after the booking confirmation comes through, i get the email from BAEC telling me that i could have been getting 100% mileage on discounted economy. Curses! Oh well - will need to remember for the next time (at this rate, some times towards the end of 2011!).

Good news though.

I missed out on it as well, by one day....C'est la vie.

Thank goodness it was only in ET and not a LHR-SFO.

An additional 1188 miles would make you fly via Heathrow? Spend more at Tescos instead...

When do the new rates begin? Is it related to when you purchased the flight or the actual date you fly?

My thoughts exactly.

I would hardly be "gutted" losing out on 1000 miles...

I'd rather fly via LHR than shop at Tesco.

My flight at 0120 on the 1st posted with the extra tier bonus.
