An “official POUG” is defined (for the purposes of this wiki) as the rate that appears in red on the MMB/BA app. It is NOT the rate offered at the airport (please see http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/briti...ng-thread.html), or the rate offered when you click on the “Upgrade my class of travel with money” link from within MMB, or the “Upgrade to the next available cabin” blue/grey banner in the app.
Please add to this list as required, and include the month/year when the POUG is offered to you.

Just call the BA Executive Club and they will post the TPs and miles. If that fails (it shouldn't) then send a PM to BA Executive Club on this site (no need to PM unless your effort fails)

Beware in the event of downgrading!
I purchased a ticket for three friends to travel with the OH and I to IST.
My friends had a Y outbound flight and J inbound. My bookings was in J both ways.
After purchasing, I tool advantage of an offer in MMB to upgrade their outbound flights for £89 each.
On the day of travel, the SH 767 was substituted for a LH 767, and our friends were put into ET; not even the WTP seats that were also being used as CE.
At the gate, they were offered £50 BA vouchers for the two adults and £25 for the child. We declined this offer, believing it unacceptable.
After much correspondence, I received a refund of £177 and not the £267 that I had been expecting, and had been advised verbally on the telephone.
BA is refusing to refund anymore.
The email from Customer Relations states:
" Whilst I appreciate you paid £89 per ticket to upgrade, it is not this amount that is refunded in the case of a downgrade. Under EU legislation, when a passenger has been downgraded we have to refund a percentage of the difference in fare, not the amount paid to upgrade."
Further correspondence has not achieved much more, although a request for a manager to call has been denied.
In terms of compensation, BA has now agreed to send £50 x 3 in cash to my friends. Better, not great.
I am disappointed in the stance that has been taken and have advised that I will write to Keith Williams. I realise that it is unlikely to achieve much, but it might make me feel better!
So, in conclusion, be aware when you pay to upgrade cabins that in the event that you are downgraded, you may receive less than you paid for the upgrade.

For MMB POUG, it should automatically post as the upgraded class because the ticket is reissued with a new fare code.

Working backwards...
£177 divided by 3 is £59. That suggests you paid £59 x2 = £108 for the outbound tickets.
If you paid £89 just for the upgrade then they are suggesting you only paid £19 originally for the outbound.
Given 'taxes and fees' to IST are £66 then it just doesn't stack up.
Even if the base fare was £0 the minimum you could have paid was £66 + £89 = £155 so the minimum you should get back is 50% of this = £77.50 per ticket.

To assist the calculation, I paid £214.06 per person (of which £98.56 was taxes/fees) before the £89 upgrade.
I have asked Customer Relations to send me the calculations. They wanted me to write to the Refund Department.

OK - so £115.50 (the total minus the taxes) is your base fare. It's probably impossible to know exactly what proportion was for the original outbound economy unless you know the booking code. (if the passengers collected Avios on the booking it may show on their Avios statement?)
It's probably reasonable to assume about £35 for the outbound economy and £80 for the inbound business fare.
So for the outbound you paid about £35 (base) + £66 (taxes/fees) + £89 (upgrade), total £190. The flight was over 1,500km so according to the EU rules you are entitled to a 50% refund which would be £95 each. 6 quid more than you are actually asking for.

Did I read somewhere that BA are now offering POUGs on flights with (domestic) connections? I can't remember where I read it - could have been in this thread - but does anyone have any experience?
I have a MAN-LHR-ZRH-LHR-MAN itinerary upcoming. Would usually go direct with Swiss, but needed a couple of hours in London.

I've been quoted £1532 to upgrade me and the OH from WT to CW, both legs, LHR-JFK....That'd mean a CW return for £1250 each when the cost of our original WT tickets is taken in to account. I'd like your opinions please...

This is not a proactive upgrade of the kind which this thread is about. It's just a normal cash upgrade to the current CW fare. (Which is pretty good, if you can cope with the restrictions.)

It does illustrate, however, how good the current sale prices are, if you can live with the restrictions. (I can't, for any foreseeable trip, so I'm jealous.)

Was quoted an upgrade to Club Europe via MMB on a flight last Friday LHR - BCN for £79.
