I promised to update my post with the current rates for upgrades at the airport from LGW. Thought I'd add a new post so this thread would get bumped.
Okay this was what was available today:
£60 - JER, AMS, LUX, BOD
£80 - MRS, FCO, VCE, VRN, GOA, TRN, IBZ, PSA
£100 - NAP, CTA, SKG, PFO, DBV, FAO, ADB, TIA
No upgrades offered on the TUN and PRN routes.
Long haul today:
£150 from WT to WT+ - ANU, TAB, BGI, TPA, KIN, SSH
£399 from WT+ to CW - ANU, TAB, MCO, BGI, TPA, KIN, BDA, SSH
Hope that helps

LHR-HKG £135 one way WT to WTP
HKG-LHR £399 one way WTP to Club
LHR - SIN £135 one way WT to WTP (but only seems to allow me to book this one if I opt to buy an expensive return upgrade at £560)

Just booked a EUR 67 ET one-way CDG-LHR for december, and got the "exclusive upgrade offer" through MMB: ET-->CE for EUR 100
not sure it's worth it so I will sit and wait to see if it disappears, reappears, and if price changes.

LHR-ATL last month.
Ex-LHR rates as per SunriseGirl:
Y to W - 150 pounds
W to J - 399 pounds
Some confusion at check-in as I was told that I could combine as my company had booked me in Y for flight to ATL, and wanted J if possible. In end, only 1 seat was left in W, so took that for 150.
Ex-ATL
Y to W - $250
Y to J - $750
Took the latter option. Kept copies of my boarding passes and the MCO's for teh upgrades, and faxed them off to BA; miles and TP adjustments took about a week to process (as they originally landed as Y mileage and TP).

Leaves out NAP (100£) and CTA (not sure)
80£ truely excellent value on some routes especially 2 hours + (like CAG and FCO)
Did a CAG on an A319 and well worth the upgrade although would have preferred dinner!!!

LHR - IAH £399 J - F
IAH - LHR £399 J - F
TA booking, available from MMB when I checked in.
Hoping for a similar offer to MRU from LHR in Oct. Booked on the BA website as a flight plus hotel. Is that classed as TA?
Regards,
Kernow

Does anyone know what booking class these fares book into? I'm thinking of booking a ET RTN (O class) and upgrading to CE.
Would these upgraded fares qualify for the current bonus miles promotion for EU BAEC members?

LHR-MIA £85 outbound only WT to WT+ for last March. Upgrade kept appearing and disappearing from when the booking was made the previous October! Only bought it a week before the flight for the extra miles. WT+ had been reasonably open before the flight, but was full on the day.

V. interesting. Does anyone know if you'd be able to go for both the 12/9 'out' upgrade and the the OLCI 'rtn' upgrade, as a way of minimising costs?

My LHR-EZE next week (8/9) is £950 ish WT-WTP and the return the following week is £750 ish. But I can save £90 if I book both. Unmissable me thinks!

Wow! That's the most expensive Y upgrade offer I've ever seen. Would be worth keeping an eye on it to see if it comes down closer to the date.
