An “official POUG” is defined (for the purposes of this wiki) as the rate that appears in red on the MMB/BA app. It is NOT the rate offered at the airport (please see http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/briti...ng-thread.html), or the rate offered when you click on the “Upgrade my class of travel with money” link from within MMB, or the “Upgrade to the next available cabin” blue/grey banner in the app.
Please add to this list as required, and include the month/year when the POUG is offered to you.
LON to Europe from ET to CE (typically £59-£69 for Band 1, £69-£79 for Band 2, £79-£89 for Band 3 and £89-£99 for Band 4):

- All POUGs earn full TPs and Avios for the upgraded cabin, subject to the original booking being paid for with cash.
- POUGs *ARE* offered on Hand-Baggage Only fares, if available
- POUGs only become available after 48 hours of making your booking, until any time up to, and including OLCI. After being checked in you will not be offered a POUG.
- POUGs do not seem to become available for travel agent bookings, until 2-3 days before departure (YMMV)
- POUGs cannot be requested from Service Centres, except that occasionally BA.com will not proceed with a POUG online and display a message inviting you to call the Service Centre to complete the transaction.
- After a POUG has been purchased, the ticket become non changeable and non refundable, apart from government taxes.

Just got offered a POUG at OLCI LHR-YUL from WT to WTP for £190 for out and £190 for return. Snapped it up as the tier points are going to get me to silver and the clock was ticking on my membership year. I will definitely enjoy a bit of extra space too, got a bulkhead seat.

Just got a £69 offer on LHR-FRA for tomorrow at OLCI on the iPhone app. It was a travel agent booking. Not taking it up as it's an afternoon tea flight and I have 580 tier points so will retain silver with the return leg.

LGW-AGP-LGW for £89 each way. The outbound was offered early, the return was offered 2 weeks after booking, on the same day as 2 x other POUGs popped up AMS-LHR for £69.
The AGP-LGW sector is already oversold in Y almost one month out so I might have had a reasonable opportunity of an UG - and I don't need the TPs - but better to be safe than sorry!

S class definitely doesn't offer an upgrade option on European services as this designator is only used as a tour fare (as part of a package). So long as there's a published fare offering in a corresponding designator then you can book it however you want (ba.com, travel agent, expedia etc...) and you'll stand us much chance as anyone else.
