Any advantages being BA gold when flying AA

AM BA Gold and travelling with family to US - whilst getting in to lounge with Mrs Low and 2 young Lows in tow will be impossible can we check in at AA First or Business to save queues?
Are there any other advantages that anyone knows.
Regards

Is AA strict by this 1 guest rule? Maybe your kids can get in for "free"?

You don't have to pay for checked luggage. As for check-in, I always use the kiosk machines and use the First bag drop counter.

You will be able to use Fasttrack and Priority boarding. I guess if you have all tickets in a single booking that this Priority will be on all boarding passes.

Yes, as oneworld Emerald you get to use First checkin, get 'Priority AAccess' at some security queues and at the gate. Sometimes I get offered a free drink onbaord LGA/YYZ flights with American Eagle, but don't know the policy and I think they confuse Emerald with their Exec Platinum status or whatever it's called. I think it's down to how they read the manifest.

Thank you
My BA exec number is in the booking but will they be able to tell it is Gold (Emerald in oneworld speak) or do I just present my BA card upon arrival at the airport.

It should be ok, always worked for me as long as the BA number is in the booking, just be sure that you have the Priority "stamp" on your boarding passes.

Recently flew MIA-BDA with AA in Y. Priority Access and use of the AA Flagship lounge was great. My boarding pass had 'Emerald' stamped in bold. In my experience AA are good at recognising OW status, certainly on the ground.

You also get the priority seating that the Golds/platinums normally get. Should be available on the AA website for your booking if you have added your BA gold number already.

A few years back I was travelling with our 2 young kids from US to Manchester and decided to go through Chicago since AA used to have a direct to MAN. I used BA miles to book business for the 4 of us so lounge access was no problem. Anyway I got excellent service from AA. In the lounge they took us to one of the VIP suites and brought hot milk/chocolate for the kids. I suspect they put us in there as not to disturb others :-). When boarding they escorted us through the line so we could board 1st. It was probably a fluke but you never know your luck.

In my experience this does not work on aa.com. I can't access the priority seats when my BA Gold number is in the booking. Accessing those seats only works when booking Y/B(/H?) class (but that would work for everyone I guess). Maybe calling AA reservations does work.

BTW: this is on flights operated by American Eagle, I hardly ever fly mainline AA.

I actually just flew an American Eagle flight today and had no problem selecting a priority seat with my BA number in the booking, so I guess it works at least some of the time

Unfortunately, access to the F lounges when carrying the OW Emerald card gives you access to only one guest.
I have had the dragon at LAX call from downstairs to ensure that our son wasn't getting into the AA F lounge with my wife and I. He has to stay in the Biz section.
This was despite having AA EXP as well as BA and QF equivs all current... AND the lounge was less than half full.

On the positive side, F check ins are able to be accessed without issues as are the Priority lines.
In any case, after you are used to the BA F lounges the AA ones aren't really worth getting in a sweat about .

Call AA reservations in the US, they should be able to assign priority seats to you manually.
