Did you get an answer from Amex as to what this charge was for? I'll be really annoyed if redeeming MR for BA miles costs what it otherwise costs to buy 1000 miles for cash.

I had used the Amex card to pay for a transfer of 6000 miles from my son's BAEC account to mine the week before last and the charge was £35.
The charge showed on my Amex account the same day as my 20,000 points were converted to BA miles and that's what confused me.
I think I need a visit to the Doc for some memory pills. Sorry about the confusion.

Sorry guys, this is all my fault. My memory is totally shot.

Though there is another ticking mini timebomb as the t&cs point to a £20+vat annual fee for MR membership.
This fee does not apply to the Platinum card though. I'm kind of sorry I missed the boat on the recent promotion on that one. Amex haven't extended it like they did the Gold Card promo

I'm willing to hang fire a while with the hope of a decent sign-up promo for the SPG Amex. I'm happy enough to stick with the bmi Mastercard and AMEX Gold for now.

Thanks for the heads up. Just checked and I see its been received into my account too^ TBH I've never had any problems with Quidco so wasn't too worried, even though I've had to chase a few times.

Received here too. Excellent deal and thanks to Raffles for pointing it out.
Not too sure I'm a fan of the £95 annual fee come next year though... !
