It doesn't need to say it on the individual link page, 'completed wholly online' is the norm for online advertising return commission.

From quidco online help:
Is cashback guaranteed?
We guarantee to give you 100% of the cashback that you earn. However, we cannot guarantee that the retailer will pay us for every purchase. This only happens in a handful of cases - currently 99.86% of all purchases receive the cashback without issue.

The reasons why a retailer could decline your cashback are:

The purchase was returned, cancelled or the order amended
The purchase was not completed wholly online
Another referrer has been awarded the cashback commission (e.g. a price comparison site)
You did not comply with the terms and conditions of Quidco and/or the retailer.
A voucher code or gift code not authorised by Quidco was used
The retailer has ceased trading or has gone into administration
Generally, sticking to the terms and conditions provided in the retailer description and ensuring you follow the recommended process will minimise the risk of anything going wrong.

I have seen merchants on quidco which specifically say this, so seeing as Amex don't maybe there's still a chance of the cashback? Afterall, the lead they (quidco) provided did convert.

Oh many thinks do post to quidco where you give them some offline contact or amendment.

It is just never guaranteed, that is the point.

As reported earlier I submitted an online enquiry about missing double Membership Reward points and received a reply that although I had been enrolled in the Preferred Rewards Scheme this was not recorded correctly and I was not receiving double points. They were going to investigate and rectify the problems.

When I checked my account yesterday I was still not receiving double points. I checked my account again this evening and I am now a Basic Card member. I can no longer see any points earned!

Has this happened to anybody?

Exactly the same thing has happened to me. It's a horrible mess and, frankly, I'm now wishing I'd never applied for this bloody thing.

Is anybody able to confirm whether there is such a thing as a 'Basic Gold Card' in the UK and whether it has the same fee attached? If they'll refund my £95, I'll pay my balance and happily part company with them.

I had to manually chase some missing bonus points on a hotel booking.

Here is the response I recieved

Dear Mr G,

Thank you for your email regarding the double Membership Reward points you should have earned for your travel spend at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

I apologise for any confusion or concern this may have caused. We are currently experiencing a technical issue with the double Membership Reward points you should be earning. Our Technologies team are aware of this issue and are looking to get this resolved as a matter of urgency. In the meantime I have set up a case to our Back Office team requesting them to look at your account individually and add the bonus points manually. Please allow 7-10 working days for these to be added to your account. I apologise for any inconvenience caused. I appreciate that you have since spent a further £xxx.00 at the hotel and I will ensure that the double points are also applied in relation to this transaction.
Still no sign on my bonus 20,000 points, but I give it a few more weeks and let the dust settle.

I'm in no rush for these points. I wasn't planning on converting them to any program until I need them, as I see MR points don't expire.
I'll re-evaluate that decision when it comes to card renewal time

it's all been a bit of a mess.

My first purchase (travel) didn't get the bonus miles. They were eventually added manually....then I received a second card without any explanation.

Odd.

Yes, same thing happened to me. I wasn't earning double points. I queried that and they were added manually. Later I noticed the MR balance disappear from the account. Then my account number changed, the MR balance returned, the double points started, and a new card popped through the letter box - all without any explanation.
Obviously AMEX made some screw up when the cards were initially issued but it looks like they are going through and sorting them out. So to those still having issues I would say send an email query and then sit back and wait. It may take a few weeks to resolve though.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one experiencing this problem. Last night after my unsuccessful attempt to view the points I had earned I was asked if I wanted to answer a few questions on what I thought about the website. I don't usually bother with these questions but I was so incensed I decided to take part.

Can't remember the exact questions but something like: Did I find what I was looking for? "No". What was the purpose of my visit? "To check MR points" How did I rate my experience? "Poor".

Before replying to the message I received via the Secure Message Centre I tried once again if I could see the points I have earned and got this message instead.

Can someone please remind me how to check the points earned from the "Your Account Summary" screen? I had no problem (though the link was not the easiest to find) checking them earlier, so the only reason why I can't remember what steps to follow must be because the link is no longer there on the screen.

What a mess!

IME the points link disappeared for a day or two while they manually adjusted the points earning rate. Since it reappeared, everything has posted correctly, including the 20,000 bonus within days of the qualifying spend.

I'm prepared to be patient up to a point so, hopefully, I'll have the same outcome.

Thanks. I'll give them a few days to sort things out and hopefully the 20,000 bonus might also post by the time the points link reappears!

I can now get to the "LOG IN TO YOUR MEMBERSHIP REWARDS ACCOUNT" screen but when I try to login I get the same "We're sorry" message.

Seems to be something up with the website today - my MR points balance has vanished from the gold card, and the BA miles balance has vanished from the BA card.

In my case, when my MRs disappeared, they reappeared the day after. I concluded they were adjusting my reward points which could be what they are doing with your cards now.

I've just come home and for some reason I have had another card with the same security number sent to me.

Oh the plus side, 20000 points have been credited.
