I'm holding off applying for Mrs Stueys card until I see whether QuidCo tracks, raised a query yesterday but nada so far tracking. Also received my replacement card with Amex yesterday after querying the MR doubles not coming through.

For those who received two cards, which one did you register on your query with Quidco? I'm not sure whether to raise a query with the first card received or the second.

Incidentally my first card was tracking double points OK and I hadn't needed to contact Amex but for some reason I received a second card anyway.

Double miles: which merchants?

For me, double MRs on travel (forever) and groceries / petrol (first year only) make this my first choice card for those purchases, but I'll keep my BMI Mastercard for the rest.

I'd like to get together a list of merchants which count for double MRs - particularly given the myriad ways there are to buy tickets these days. Am happy to collate if people wish to report their successes and failures in this thread.

First year welcome bonus
Co-op
Morrisons
Morrisons Petrol (triple MRs)
Ocado
Sainsburys
Tesco Petrol (triple MRs)
Tesco Supermarket (inc online groceries)
Shell
Waitrose

Travel bonus
AIRLINES: Air France, BA (triple miles for ex-EU), Jet Blue, LAN (international)
TRAINS: East Coast, East Midlands, First Great Western, Northern Spirit, Southern, South West, Trainline, Virgin
Expedia (prepaid hotel)
Hertz
Hilton*
Hotels.com (? triple miles)
Radisson*
Sheraton*
Trailfinders

Outbound spend bonus
Assume all non-Sterling transactions for now
Apple (UK website) "Apple Sales International"
Hotels.com (? triple miles)
Jet Blue (? triple miles)

No bonus - (notable disappointments in bold)
Argos
BAA Enterprises - Airport Parking
Boots
M&S Simply Food (except when as part of a fuel purchase)
Novotel
Paypal
Prezzo (restaurant chain)
Starbucks Card - topup
TFL - Transport for London (Oyster Card topup)
WH Smith

* manual credit required

Waitrose seems to work for the first year bonus.

Is this the card that gets extra bonus for overseas spend? I'm heading over the pond tomorrow so working out which card to use.

I recall reading that one of these new cards does but my mind has gone blank as I applied for this at the same time as the AA Amex and I keep forgetting which card has which benefits!

This card is getting more attractive for me. I reckon that 50% of my annual card spend (excluding tax payments) is travel and grocery, which I could move from my BMI Mastercard over to the new Amex. I would still get 2 BMI miles per 1 (if I moved the MR points to BMI) with the added flexibility of being able to move them elsewhere if Diamond Club does disappear / merge / morph in a way I don't like.

Yes, but ask yourself if you really want to spend 3% commission in order to get 2 miles per . I certainly don't, when I can get commission-free elsewhere. Now, if you're on expenses...

Indeed, but the more favourable exchange rate that they offer has more than covered the 3% vs my other cards from recent experience.

Thanks larryflyer - have updated the list. Which airlines have you used? Would assume all the majors are covered, but I wouldn't be surprised if a few slipped through the net.

Anyone else get triple MRs at Tesco petrol stations, or is this a freak result?

P.S. I foolishly did myself out of 10 BMI miles by testing the water with an Oyster topup yesterday. So I think it's well worth pooling our experiences.

You can add Virgin Trains to the list as well.

Hilton Hotels are all coming up as single points so far and I'm having to get them credited manually at the moment which is frustrating.
