How young are the children? Would they want to play together during the flight or are they happy to do their own thing?
If the former then maybe a centre 4 would be good as they could have a nice protected space in the middle, with a parent at each end. Of course if they are happy with watching the IFE then the others will be fine too.

If you're travelling with children then I'd suggest that 4 seats in the middle (D, E, F, G) might be better - you can create quite a nice space in the middle for the kids and feel like you have much more room. If the middle seats aren't an option I'm not sure there's a world of difference between the two sets of seats, but I'm sure there are plenty on here who would argue otherwise - a quick search of this forum will no doubt throw up lots of opinions.

Is row 5 in 3 class 777 definitely missing a window?
Hi all,
I'm looking seriously at paying to select a window seat on an upcoming LGW-KIN flight.
I notice that the seat map has row 5, which I believe means it is a 3 class 777 with a 48 J configuration.
Some threads in the past have stated that row 5 window has the benefit of "no-stepover" but is missing a window, meaning it is very gloomy as one of the remaining windows is partially obscured However in another thread someone claimed to have sat in row 5 on a 3 class 48J 777 and it had a full complement of windows
Can anyone clarify the window situation with 5A/5K? Looking at the thebasource, past history shows LGW-KIN utilizing a 40J 3 class 777 on most occasions over the last month with a 48J 3 class 777 or 4 class 777 on the odd occasion.

5AK on the 3-class 772 are 'no step over' seats, with direct aisle access.

So I have the option on the 747 in CW of 63B or 14A/K. I love the upper deck but also love the privacy of a window seat. No window seats remaining on UD, so was wondering what you all might recommend.

Personally I would do a downstairs window before an upperdeck aisle. But then I put a premium on my privacy; sounds like you may also.

We're flying LGW-ANU this coming Sunday and currently have seats 2J/K booked. When I get home from work later, I'm going to look at the seating plan to see what's available in case we want to change our seats.
Should we stick with what we already have or change to a different seat? Any advice very welcome thanks ^
Note: Currently I don't know what's available & if I look now, what we might want to change to might not be available this evening.

I am travelling with three others to MCO and the only seats available near each other are 1DEFG and 10DEFG. I understand from reading a few pages back that the forward CW cabin on a 3 class 777 is preferable to the rear due to the proximity of WTP.
I'd normally choose 1DEFG but one of my travelling companions needs to be able to see a window if possible. It's been a while since I've been on a 3 class, does anyone know if a window can be seen from row 1? From the seatmap it would appear not.
