The latest version (2010) of the First cabin (termed "Prime" internally by British Airways, or "New First") is available on all 4-class 777s and all 747s.

An newer evolution (2013) of the First seat (Prime+) is found on all A380s, and a newer version still (2015) is available on all 787-9s.

The older version of the First cabin (termed "Classic" internally by British Airways, or "Old First") has now been withdrawn.

747 information updated to 31 March 2016. Last change: withdrawal of G-BNLF, the last OF aircraft

Not quite, sorry, but I was lucky enough to be on Thursday's 239 which was G-VIIU and hence in NF. Have to report 1F was already broken and unserviceable, not that it bothered me much from 2K

Sounds like 239 has an even higher chance of being NF

Best chance of NF?

Flying to US East coast beginning AUG

Between IAD - PHL and Newark on 777's whats my best bet for NF??

Ideally PHL would be most convenient for me but would like to fly NF and it doesn't make a whole lot of difference

It would appear that NEW New First will come with noise-canceling headphones! It certainly will be PRIVATE.

Looking at the last 11 days history on flight24.com for the 3 777s that are confirmed to have NF (G-VIIU, G-VIIV and G-VIIW) BA66 ex PHL and BA 188 ex EWR have each had NF once. Looking at G-VIIX and G-VIIY (which I suspect have NF, but no firm confirmation as of yet), BA66 ex PHL and BA 292 ex IAD have each had NF once.

So, if you're willing to roll the dice, I'd pick BA66 from PHL.

You're Welcome! The odds should get slightly better if the current roll out of 1 NF 777 every 2 weeks continues, so that should put two more into the mix by 23/7, three more by 6/8.

My F flight is 3/8 ex YYZ (2 NF flights in the last 11 days there too), so I'm hoping for improved odds myself.

Has BA given any recent statements regarding the role out of NF and when it will be completed across the 777s and 747s?

They did this when NGCW was being rolled out over what was an extended period in the end.

I see that my flight to YYZ later this year is on a 17 seat 777, so it appears that we will not have NF nor a IFE screen that is bigger than a match box. I suppose the portable devices will be provided.

I havn't been on a triple7 in ages... are they still equipped with those very retro tape players? (that never used to work)

I know that NF was on the LHR-TLV-LHR run on Thursday 24/6. I flew LHR-TLV on 23/6, when we had the very old F (tiny IFE screens - never seen one so small) and the purser told me they would have NF for their return...

With the introduction of AVOD IFE, I think the players have been withdrawn on most 777s and all 747s.

Some 777s are equipped with minute screens, although I was given a player on my AUH-LHR flight earlier this year, as there was no AVOD.

I think it is the 777s that have 17 F seats that have been used for many Middle East in recent years.

My recollection is the rollout will take 2 years (which is borne out by this article referenced early in this thread http://www.businesstraveller.com/new...-airways-first)

My return flight 22/8 LHR-YYZ is also a 17 seat F. So my only hope for NF is the YYZ-LHR 3/8.
