It should be pointed out to Blue members like myself that you don't use the free GOLD line number and should use the chargeable Pleb line instead. They do ask for your membership number so you may be sussed out and sent packing.
Not that I know through personal experience right enough.

This also goes for non-UK Gold members, I have occasionally been asked to call my own EC office. I guess the UK members should have some sort of perk for the high TP-limit

My Silver card doesn't have any number on the back, just a message saying 'For membership enquiries visit ba.com'. Presumably that's because I'm a EuroSaint?

Indeed all very easily found.....One used to be harangued and blackballed by Gold members for posting the number on here...it was taboo you know.

I was a Silver member years ago and had programmed the number into my mobile phone.
It still went through to BA but just to a bog standard phone queue instead of the 'special' Silver agents. It was ages before I realised - I couldn't work out why it was taking them longer and longer to answer the phone!!!
Now I *always* check the number when a new card arrives......

I haven't experienced this - I'm based in Paris but when in the UK I use the 0800 number and they seem happy to accept my French-based EC number as evidence.

Ditto for my euro Gold, and as with BAAZ i also have no problems with the UK 0800 number when I am in GB, if it is CLI it will show I am dialling from a UK number.
