I think BD offered an arrivals facility in MAN back in the day which was access to the Radisson gym.
Does the Radisson still offer a day pass to their gym? That would seem like an economical work around if so.

The Radisson hotel does have previous day checkin for Thompson flights if you're staying there. So I have learnt something new, even if it wasn't what I intended.

This is exactly what I wound up doing. The Hilton at MAN offered a 38£ day room rate. I simply used it for a good shower, shave, and change of clothes. I don’t recall the time allowed but I did get the brief about dinner times so I can gather they would have allowed me to stay late.
