BA closing outstations[? - MLA closing apparently]

BA closing outstations[? - MLA closing apparently]
Just read that BA is to close its Malta office at the end of the month.
I'm fairly sure they're not just shutting down this office since these type of things normally happen in big waves.
Does anyone know of other offices that are being shut down? Also what does this mean for pax? If the last flight of the day is cancelled will there be enough staff with authority to look after those stranded? Another degradation of service?
