Question on miles accrual on MAN-LHR feeder service when booking in WT+
I'm travelling MAN-LHR-PEK on Wednesday in WT+.
I know that the longhaul sector will earn miles at 125% of the normal mileage because of the cabin, but I'm not sure about the MAN-LHR sector? So my question is, on the MAN-LHR sector will I get: a) The discount cheap economy rate of 25% (125 miles) b) The YBH rate of 100% (500 miles) c) The 125% (625 miles) WT+ rate because the longhaul is WT+ Thanks in advance for any replies! ^ |
(a) 125 miles..........

Either (a) or (b). What is MMB telling you?

It lists the class as being "Domestic". |
MMB calculates and presents the BA Miles and tier point accrual for your MAN-LHR-PEK return booking. Retrieve your booking and click on the My Booking tab and you'll find this stuff near the bottom of the page.
By my rough calculation ... If (a) then MMB displays 12,882 miles and 150 tier points If (b) then MMB displays 13,632 miles and 190 tier points |
Apologies, I misread your last post. Please ignore my post above
In my experience with WT+/UK domestic combos, I usually receive full mileage and tier points on the dom sectors. Sounds like your booking wasn't ticketed by BA.com, so I would lean towards (b) |
I've never checked the miles for a booking like this, but TPs for the domestic sector have always accrued for me at the same rate as the long haul sector. One of the few advantages of starting a journey from a regional airport, as you get 280 TPs for a J round trip rather than 240 if you started at LHR

The fare rules on a T class booking allow connecting flights to be booked in anything from B down to K, however you still get a T class fare basis for the UK Domestic sectors which means you should get full miles and tier points.

Can I assume that this is correct or should I call BA? |

I've now flown these flights and can confirm that the MAN-LHR sector was a the cheapy cheap rate of 125 miles, and the WT+ sector being 125% as expected.
