The British Airways app [New version for iPhone & Android, launched 21 May]
It all started fine for me with the new app, but it's become increasingly unreliable over the last month or so. It keeps logging me out, telling me I've got no bookings when it eventually lets me log back in, freezing, crashing. I have no idea why these things would get worse over time - but reading the last few pages of this thread, it looks like I'm not alone.

A couple of announcements today.
First up, we've just released a new version of the iPhone app (it should be in the app store in a few hours). This adds a couple of new features including - a simplified way of bringing back a single booking instead of logging in (just enter surname and booking reference and choose your name from the list of passengers). - one-way fares have been added to the "cheapest fares" section - We've also fully fixed the issue that was occasionally logging some customers out. Also, later today will be a new release for the Android app. That will feature: - Recent searches, replay any flight search you've made from the app or ba.com quickly - A fix to an issue that was affecting some S3 users, meaning that boarding passes weren't being stored correctly. There's more to come on both formats over the coming weeks, so keep an eye out. This will also be the last main update from me as I'll be leaving BA next week and handing things over to my successor Nick Gow. Nick's been in charge of mobile web for a while now, so he's well up to speed on all things mobile-related. We're just sorting him out an official account, so he'll post a message in here as soon as that's ready. Thanks for all your feedback on the apps and keep it coming - it's all extremely useful to us and helps us to keep making the apps better. |

iPhone app not picking up latest bookings?
I've noticed on a couple of occasions that the BA app will not pick up new bookings and will also refuse to add them when you enter the booking reference. The problem only seems to be fixed by either killing the app off or rebooting the phone. I believe I'm running the latest version of the app (on a 5s running iOS v7.1.2).

Hi - the best way to ensure the booking list is up to date is to go into the "my bookings" screen and pull-to-refresh that. It works as an over-ride in case bookings aren't showing. The fix we've put in today should also alleviate things (and more improvements are on the way) but that's always worth trying.

Any Windows Phone News?
I have a Nokia Lumia 625 running Windows Phone 8.1 (supplied by employer) and am using the Windows version of the BA app version 2.3 build# 1 date 27 Feb 2012 - any chance this will be updated?
Or has it been updated and nobody has changed the "About" info? KtB |

Probably a minor issue, but went into my BA app today, and normally the home page shows an aircraft in the sky, and then automatically moves over to the next page showing my trip to EDI, just wondering what has happened to the opening page of the aircraft flying through the clouds. :confused:

The Track Flights page still doesn't update the departure time and mark as ACTUAL. It's been like this since the beginning. If you pull to update, it keeps the departure time marked as "estimated" even after it has departed.
When the flight actually lands, it shows the arrival time as "actual" but departure time remains stuck on "estimated. The only way is to delete the flight and set it up again under Track Flights. |

Re post #305-307, I'm also seeing this issue with modified booking, pulling to refresh on the booking screen doesn't seem to cause the app to retrieve the updated booking (booking ref is same but time and destination changed, but not picked up by app). As before required phone to be restarted before updated booking was picked up.
