GRU - from terminal 2 to terminal 1

We land at GRU Terminal 2 from La Paz with Aerosur (Business class) at 2.15 PM.

Our connecting Iberia flight to Madrid leaves at 3.25 PM

The companies say we cam make it (the Aerosur coupon is in the Iberia ticket itself).

We have, of course, luggage that ww will check in LPB directly to MAD.

Can we really make it? How far are the terminals? Do we have to go thru security or any other procedure? Will the luggage make it too?

Thanks!!

To walk from one end of Terminal 1 to the other end of Terminal 2 takes about 10 minutes. You will have to reclear security as I am not aware of an airside link. (Oops, for future searchers, there is an airside link between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 upstairs.) I am not sure about the passport control and customs requirements, but it should not take more than 20 minutes; more likely closer to 10. Do not have enough experience with the security lines at that hour, but I think that you should be comfortable making your connection.

Airside Link

Again for anyone researching this:
The two terminals are linked, airside, and there is no security or other checks. Although they are known as two terminals, in reality, if you are airside, there is just one, with a corridor linking one group of gates from the other. The above information was accurate as of 1 January 2007
