Macaé

Any good, bad, indifferent thoughts on Macaé? Thinking 2-4 week stay in late October.

obrigado

Initial thought- is this person crazy? It never even occurred to me to go for a weekend when I lived in Rio. I can’t imagine what you would do for a month. Unless the objective is to go someplace and be bored which I get, sort of.

Bored as a tourist or as a work from home person seeking a change of scenery after months of lockdown?

In this specific case both.

Macaé grew exponentially with petroleum exploration, it was bad back then and it’s probably worse now.

I suggest staying nearby at Arraial do Cabo instead.

OP is crazy!

Thanks for the replies. Yes, I am crazy and yes I'm looking for a change of scenery.

Also anticipating Hyatt running some form of double nights promo later in the year and I need to stockpile some suite upgrades for future Asia travel. There's a decent Hyatt Place in Macaé that goes for $34 per night. Only other similarly cheap Hyatt I've seen in the Western hemisphere is the Hyatt Place in Cuidad del Carmen in Mexico. Locals call it Cuidad del Crimen for a reason 😜

Again, thanks for the input. Much appreciated.
