Arrival at GRU T3: place to freshen up

Later this month my boss and I are arriving separately into GRU T3 on BA and TP around 6.30am. We are looking for a place to freshen up before starting our work day in Jandira. No checked luggage.

I have tried to find recent info here but its rather outdated, so thought I would ask:

What would you suggest we should do? Our local office is rather paranoid and wanted me to book an extra night at the hotel we will stay that night so we could go there, freshen up and then go to work. Problem is that hotel is located closer to CGH (because we are leaving for CNF the next morning) so beside the extra cost it means a lot of detour and sitting in a car for nothing. Plus my boss has a telecon at 10am he wants to participate in from a quiet office.

Looking at various site other than FT I see
- there is a Tryp transit hotel within T3 but they seem to be aiming for the transit pax and have some discouraging text on their website. Are you allowed in there arriving in T3 and leaving CGH next day?
- there is a Salviero "Fast Sleep" hotel in Terminal 2 arrivals. How easy is it to get to T2 from T3 arrivals?
- I have PP access to the *A lounge and 'executive' lounge in T3. The *A lounge has some lingo about "International Arrivals and Departures only": is there any way to get to the *A lounge on arrival?

Can't comment about the hotels in particular, but the "Fast Sleep" is probably the best option. Getting from T3 to T2 landside is not an issue, they are connected and the walk is not that long.
Accessing the *A lounge will only be possible in my opinion in case you have a connection flight leaving from T3. Otherwise you will be directed straight to immigration.

Barring special arrangements, you will not be able to go airside in T3 to visit either the Tryp transit hotel or any of the lounges upon arrival. T3 is for international flights only, and you will need to pass Brazilian exit immigration and have a BP for a same-day departing int'l flight in order to going airside there.
If anyone in your party has an AA Admirals Club membership, you could pre-arrange a meeting at the business facilities in the new and very nice T3 AA lounge (you'll get gate passes at the AA check-in counter and an escort. The lounge is new and has showers that are larger than the rooms at the Saviero in T2).

T3 to T2 is a ten-minute walk or a (free) five-minute inter-terminal bus ride away. The terminals are adjacent to each other.

However, the rooms and bathrooms at the Saviero "Fast Sleep" are extremely tiny (bunk beds), and the walls are paper-thin. Not what I'd use for a business telecon.
I would get a day room at the GRU Pullman, which is a 5min. shuttle bus ride away and MUCH nicer (cost should be about 70 EUR).

I would recommend the Marriott at GRU, They have an 8 hour day rate. superior service, nice pool, gym (Mini Health Club) ... I think it's well worth it.

We always go the extra night route. It's just much better to get to the hotel, dump your stuff, have a shower and head out to work

Your boss could always take his call from his hotel room

I contacted the Tryp transit hotel directly to see if anything was possible on arrival. It seems if you have no checked luggage you are allowed to use the transit hotel on arrival:

This Hotel is located inside the INTERNATIONAL DEPARTURE (also known as TRANSIT AREA or Airside) at Guarulhos
International Airport - Terminal 3. Thus, only guests with international trips scheduled for the day before or the day of
accommodation will have access to the Hotel, STRICTLY under the following conditions:
Guests DEPARTING in international flights must have on hand the boarding pass (flight check-in via web applicable),
and only carry hand luggage. Check with your Airline about the advance to accept the baggage as access to the
International Departure is not allowed with baggage to be checked.
Guests in CONNECTION for international flights should have their baggage thru-checked to the international
destination, and stay in the Transit Area.
Guests ARRIVING from international flights are expected to remain in the Transit Area and proceed to the Hotel
BEFORE accessing Passport Control. In this case, due to restrictions imposed by the Airport Authorities (Federal Police
and Customs) the access to the Hotel only will be allowed if guest DOES NOT HAVE baggage to be returned at
carousels.
Passengers arriving from international flights who have baggage to be returned at carousels, or passengers departing
on domestic flight may not access the Hotel.
Problem solved, room booked ^

Quick report on how it went. On deplaning, I asked the staff meeting the flight where the Tryp hotel was. They were rather confused about the question but gave some tips. Basically you follow the T3 international connection signs and go thru transit security (who didn't ask anything), the hotel entrance is right after the security. We walked into the hotel, used the room to freshen up and change, had a decent breakfast and then checked out. The hotel reception told us how to get to passport control (take a elevator to level 0) and we went thru passport control and everything was super easy. ^

Yes, I go through T-3 Transfer all the time to go to the Star Alliance lounge with or without a boarding pass, it just a security check. Scan Lugguage and your on your way. Up the escalator on the left after scanning and your in the T-3 Departures area. I'm Star Gold and have access to the lounge..However, if your not departing on a Star Gold flight they won't let you in UNLESS you have an AMEX Platinum Card or Higher (which I do) or Priorty Passs. Last weekend I had no issues at all as I came in on Polaris on UA so I had arrival privileges. Long story short.. Star Gold, AMEX Platinumn or Higher or Priorty Pass will get you access. Good Bar and nice shower facilities . Best of all the people are nice there and a decent spread for food. I have been there more than 8 times in the past 12 months and enjoy the place..

Warning! No longer works!

Just want to report back in case people plan to visit the *a lounge upon international arrival, without an onward international departure boarding pass.

They moved the international connection security check down the escalator, next to passport control. In order to get pass the baggage security point, you HAVE to hold an international departure boarding pass or they will NOT let you go.

I talked to two guys there that I was only going to the lounge and would clear immigration afterwards, but no go.
Since this is the only path to the international transfer area, i image other venues won’t work either without an international boarding pass.

They said this change happened approx 6 months ago.
