Transit with mexican passport. Please help.
I went to the consul today and it was horrible. Not only they insisted on me to check their websites information about transit on Brazil (there's no information), but they talked in a really bad way... I felt bad.
Anyway... I am mexican, and I'm travelling with TAM to Brazil and then to Uruguay. I have to wait 5 hours, and when I go back, more than 10. They said I can only stay 6 hours, even if I'm not leaving the airport. My question is, what happens if I exceed the limit? I don't want nor I can require a tourist visa, and they didn't give me all the information I needed to transit... They didn't even look at my ticket. Does anyone have some experience with transiting GRU without any kind of visa for more than 6 hours, without leaving the international area on the airporty? I really don't care if I need to stay in a tiny room doing nothing for 10 hours, I just need to stay and then I leave... EDIT: This is my flight: 8113 from Mexico City to GRU. 8040 from GRU to Montevideo. Return 8041 from Montevideo to GRU 8112 from GRU to Mexito City (more than 12 hours on the airport here) |
