Strike action in GRU and BSB
MIA-SAT posts in the AA forum that O Globo has reported on strike action at both Sao Paulo airports on 20 and 21 October. Any more news from anyone here?

newspapers report that Infraero (state owned airport administration company) workers will strike starting today at midnight. These very hard working professional who provide invaluable services to all airport passengers (ironic mode off) will strike against one of the most urgent measures needed in the country: the future private administration of GRU, BSB & VCP airports. Gotta love my country! :(

On the practical side, if you might be affected, contact your airline and keep in mind that since the delay is by airport workres, not the airline, this could affect compensation from your airline for a delayed or canceled flight. I'm wondering if the BSB strike can continue as the legislators try to head back home for their traditional extended weekend tonight. |

As of this morning, at least, BSB was shut down, but the Globo notice I saw mentioned just Vilacopo airport (Campinas in Sao Paulo). Note to OP: GRU refers just to Guarulhos. The original strike announcement was actually for all 3 of the SP area airports (Guarulhos, Congonhas and Vilacopo). An airline rep at BSB told us that the workers were wearing white, rather than the traditional PT red.
