How close?
 
On Thursday I'm taking an LHR-ABZ-LHR return in S, earning me 1800 points I believe.

Currently on 31633 points - so I'll be on 37933 points. Ouch, just 67 points from renewal.

Anyone been closer?

(I have until October for the final flight ;))

I dont know about being under, but the first year i requalified as BD*G i did so with 38,001 status miles. I was doing a YUP on UA to retain gold, which i thought would have put me at over 39,000 but i miscalulated it. Thankfully it worked out ok or else i would have been mighty upset
