From First Class into Suites, does this require a new ticket to be issued?

Hi all,

Thanks to FT, I am very lucky to have booked SIN-LHR on an F redemption prior to the equipment change from 744 to 388, meaning that I've now been accommodated in Suites. For those of you who've flown on it on a redemption - since I am now booked in R instead of O, did it require a new ticket to be issued?

I did call SQ reservations in London, and while the agent was very helpful in making seat assignments, she seemed to have no clue of what I was talking about when I asked her to check if my e-ticket matched the PNR.

Can I ask the ICC to issue a new ticket or am I worrying too much?

I appreciate your thoughts in advance.

kchika :)

NO!!!

Do not do anything to this reservation that would require a ticket re-issue. Otherwise you may find yourself flying something a little less comfortable  You are fine with this change with no re-issue of the ticket required.

Have a good trip you lucky so and so :D

Step away from the phone. As Jetstreamer says, do not do anything that involves having the ICC having to touch your booking. A simple equipment swap is nothing to worry about.

Have fun.

Assuming you have tjhe same flight number then I would think you would be fine.
Although IIRC your miles booking will be in O Class for the original 744 flight which corresponds to F Class and as F class doesn't exist on the A380, there may be some confusion as what to do with you at check-in if your PNR has not been updated correctly:confused:

As somebody who has successfully done this (shameless TR plug to establish my credentials :D), my very strong advice to the OP is to do absolutely nothing with this reservation.

Stop worrying and start looking forward to something very special. Any intervention can only cause problems.

^ - another great TR (and like the new look for the website - been a while since I've popped by!). Now, all I need is for that 777ER which we're now on in November to be swapped out for an A380....
