Just had a call from a colleague on BD582 saying they've been diverted to EMA. Initially told is was because of equipment failure at MAN, now because of bad weather / fog. Apparently they didn't have enough fuel to sit it out, so diverted.

He's due on BD751 to LAS. Anyone here know is that's sticking to schedule or being held too?

I feel rather sorry for him, as I was supposed to GUV him to PE, but then ended up cancelling my trip, so he's stowed away on Row 40!

The Vegas flight is currently showing as delayed to 10am at the moment.

Well it's not exactly sunny here either. Lots of mist around still at lunchtime, but not bad enough to shut EMA like it usually does

751 finally pushed off at about 10:30 with LHR passengers, but without their bags. They've been told they'll be loaded onto 705, and go via ORD.

I said encouraging things about the bags arriving in LAS this evening on the US or UA flights, but I think we all know that I was only trying to lighten their spirits. I did qualify that by saying that they'd have the benefit of their bags being delivered directly to the hotel, and possibly even before they leave on Sunday.

Only 4 transfer pax on LHR-MAN-LAS (would have been 5 with me..). That seems crazy low when the fares are good, and the service is excellent.

Incidentally, another colleague went on the direct VS LGW-LAS service yesterday, and that was 2 hours late pushing back.

here's the real reason for all the disruption at Manchester airport this morning.
