ANNOUNCEMENT: Our thanks to Wingnut as he steps down as bmi Moderator
You may have noticed that in recent months, both Oxon Flyer and myself have been increasingly visible as Moderators on the bmi forum, while Wingnut has been taking a less public role.
It is now with sincere and heart-felt regret that I announce to the posters of the bmi board that after several years giving voluntarily of his free time, Wingnut, has decided to step down as a Moderator of the bmi forum. He has expressed a good deal of affection for our forum and its posters, but feels now is the right time to move on - though he won't be far away, as he will be continuing next door as Moderator in the UK & Ireland Forum.
I would like to express my own thanks to Wingnut for the thoroughly outstanding way he has Moderated our forum over the years and to thank him for the considerable time that he invested in training me as ajamieson's replacement. His particular brand of wit, as well as his humanity will be missed.
Please join with me in expressing your thanks to him.

What more can I say ? Great moderator, great contributor, great mentor behind the scenes too. And a special personal thanks from me for your immense contribution to the revenues of the Diet Coke Corporation.
Keep in touch, we'll sure miss you.

Please reconsider Wingnut, the current mods are awful
Seriously, thanks for all of your hard work moderating the forum which is very much appreciated. I'm sure we only see a very small amount of the actual work and effort that goes into keeping the place neat, tidy and running smoothly.

Wingnut is a legend and one of the most consistently helpful and intelligent contributors to this website. We have been very lucky to have him as a Moderator on this particular forum and, on a personal level, I am very grateful to him for his years of assistance here ^

Dear Wingnut,
Thanks for your efforts here and there... this is a fun place to be and I hope that I can buy you a brew or two sometime that I am here in Dublin.
I hope that we can squeeze a little bit more life out of our Diamond Club in the new year... in any case it will be not far from the UK&IE forum, so we will have to focus on UK&IE pubs sometime.
From your occasional visitor, cheerful tourist and pub crawler from the other arse end of the world.
