IATA chief Giovanni Bisignani is fighting to prevent airlines from crashing

He predicts that Alitalia, the Italian flag carrier, which he ran in the early 1990s, and bmi, the airline formerly known as British Midland, may be among the worst-hit in the downturn.

I suspect this article came out of Giovanni Bisignani's remarks at the "IATA Global Media day" & subsequent press releases.
