It depends on the date. I found MUC-LHR OW for 70-74 Euros - maybe not very discounted, but BA is 88 Euros.

Cheapest one-way on the Monday 07.45 flight from Munich is £574! I have to be on this flight because I'm connecting from the SIN-MUC flight at 06.00.

You could obviously force through a return you would throw away but it still doesn't get cheaper than £200 if you keep that outbound. Obviously I could sit in MUC until the first cheapo LH flight at 11.30, or of course go BA or EZ, but I don't want to as I have F lounge access at MUC if I stay on LH!

It was obviously a totally unfair comparison, except that I actually HAVE booked this so I'm not randomly picking out the best and worst of DC and M&M!

And I booked the the Christmas Weekend from LHR to VCE on LH for 70k miles all in. DC would have been 58k miles plus 354 GBP taxes.

And to be fair: I used a portion of the fully free miles we got from signing 16 new free T-Mobile contracts. There were still some miles left after my wife an I had booked our two LH F-Class seats from FRA via Bangkok to Phuket for 270.000 miles (we refrained from using 320.000 DC miles, there is certainly better use for these).
