How do I know a redemption has been ticketed (correctly)?

Just off the phone with the ICC, having booked a miles+cash BUSINESS reward on SQ (HKG-SIN rtn) for a rather sweet 22500 miles + £150 cash + £43 tax + £4 CC charge. ^

They gave me the 6 character booking reference, and to my request to "please ticket this straight away" they replied that yes, it would be in less than 24 hours.

So, what do I do now? How do I confirm the booking has been ticketed? Also, do I have a way of selecting seats?

Thanks.

Go to www.checkmytrip.com

Enter the 6-digit reference and your surname.

Check your name is spelt correctly, and also the dates/flight numbers are correct.

Once it's been ticketed, you'll see a line in bold like this:

Document 236-XXXXXXXX

All's done then

EDIT: To select seats, you'll need to phone SQ.

Fab, thanks!

Perhaps this question, and thread, could be added to the FAQ sticky?

You know when you successfully board the plane, get a seat, and it takes off.

As for the question of "Has it been ticketed properly?", you can phone the operating airline, ask them to pull up the e-ticket record, and to compare whether the e-ticket record matches the PNR.
