For 990 GBP you can already purchase 80K miles directly from BMI (until the end of FEB) without going through the inconvenience of having to fly MS

I don't understand the mileage earning system with bmi.

If I fly from Cairo to Hurghada, which is in fact about 200 miles, I believe, how many miles would this give me

a) in a cheapo fare
b) in full fare eco

Thanks for your help

The above link is your friend.

Generally speaking, full fare economy on MS seems to give 1.5x, high fares 1x, and cheap 0.5x or nothing.

As Hurghada is less than 600 miles, you will get the 600 minimum as a basis to work with. A full fare (Y class) would therefore give you 1.5 x 600 = 900. Cheaper fares will work accordingly.

Thank you for the link.

My math must now be

Y: 600 x 1.5 = 900 for 498 EGP
or
T: 0 for 237 EGP

Not very sure what is better for me. I will most likely do the status once again.
