Best way to get from BOS-BOM-CMB on miles

Hi,

I'd like to get an award from BOS-CMB with a stopover in BOM, around the 3rd week of July. From BOS, Sri Lanka is Zone 7 (100k), and India is 10 (80k) but I'm not sure what the call centre will see as the most direct route.
I'm looking just for one seat in C, which seems difficult on BOS-FRA-BOM but with more availability going east, e.g. NYC-SIN/BKK-CMB which I'm not sure the call centre will allow.

Any recommendations on the best, in terms of time and comfort, way to do this route while not spending any more miles?

Thank in advance.

BOM-CMB tickets are dirt cheap, so go for a 80k C7-10 award and buy the additional ticket?

I ticketed a JFK-SIN-BOM Z3-Z10 award last week, so I'm pretty sure NYC-SIN-CMB should be okay. BKK-CMB is the old TG AB6 which you don't want to be on.
