Retroactive Credit after more than 6 months possible?

I am now in the U.S. for 5 months, had a flight a month back (fullfare SAA C LHR-JNB-MRU) that was never credited to my BMI account despite having all numbers in the system and on my BP. Unfortunately, ticket and BP are in Germany.
Can one still claim Star Alliance Flight Mileage after 7 months?
