Check in on to BMI with UA code share
 

I am flying MME -LHR on BMI as a UA codeshare then LHR-LAX on UA on a B ticket.

I presume I need to use check in desk as I have a UA confirmation/ticket?

On UA B is E+ is B on BMI standard econ or premium?

As a *G can I bring my wife (no status - (*A that is) and teenage daughter into the lounge?

I would have thought so, don't think bmi's self check-in would quite handle that, even though in theory you're supposed to self check-in as you're on a bmi standard fare.

I'm guessing both flights issued on a single ticket with one booking reference, otherwise you won't be able to through check-in your bags with bmi.

It's a one-class service, but 'B' on bmi is a standard economy fare class anyway.

Hmm... technically no, as you're only allowed one guest, but it wouldn't hurt to ask. MME isn't the busiest of airports.

On the lounge point you will almost certainly be fine getting your daughter and wife in. They are usually relaxed about immediate family members as long as the lounge isn't too crowded. Just make sure you ask them whether it's OK when entering the lounge rather than simply walking by the desk with them.

I usually fly from NCL to pick up UA flights but I am so hacked off with picking bags up and re checking in in LHR so I thought I might try this route on a single booking ref/ticket. Bit more of a drive but hopefully less stressful.

As to lounge access, I had heard a rumour that dependent children didnt count as 'guests' but of course at what age does a dependent child stop being one? I will ask and see what the response is.

With a single ticket you'll have to go to the check-in desk as I don't think the self-service machines are set up for UA-issued tickets. With an international itinerary, I would always prefer a human being over a machine for check-in anyway.

I don't think there are any rules regarding the age of guests, but this is irrelevant in any case: as others have said, you are allowed only one guest but you may get lucky with your second guest if you ask the reception staff nicely.
