Second batch of 20k miles??

I know this question has been raised before, but I'm keen to understand the best way to go about getting my second batch of 20,000 bonus miles using the MBNA credit card promotion....

I already have the free 'basic' card & the 20k miles have been credited to my account, the question being... do I now cancel my basic card & apply for the £60 paid card - or can I simply apply for the paid card whilst keeping hold of my basic one???

I'm just a little cautious because I don't want to go ahead & get a £60 credit card to find they won't credit my second batch of 20,000 miles.

Any suggestions or own experiences are greately appreciated!!!

If you can get the fee card then you wont have a problem getting the 20k miles. Sometimes theyve turned down people because they have the 1st card with a big credit limit and it might be over stretching themselves. If this happens then, just cancel the first card and get the second. Shouldnt be any troublw with miles posting now... My last one posted within 2 weeks.

I'd check the Ts and Cs first before deciding what to do next. I applied for a basic card and got my 20k miles. I then applied for platinum card a month or so later and my application was successful. I have recently received a letter stating that I am eligible for the additional 20k miles but I won't take that as a given until they have posted to my DC account!

Thanks guys, the general impression I get is that it is quite possible to get the 20k x 2 from both cards, however you are quite right about checking the T&C's first!

I think I'll wait a little bit longer using the basic one before I get the next one.
