Data Ports?
 

I am about to take my first BMI Long Haul flight in PE this month and noticed on the site Power AND Data ports are included with each seat in PE.

My question what exactly is a Data Port. I did a search and found most people confuse data port with actually using the internet and flowing data. Most say that the Data Port is just another word for Power.

Power ports only. No BD aircraft has net access as yet.

The data ports are available through the sattelite phones. V expensive and v slow dial up connection. Never used it but I know some who have on other airlines and it normally cuts off before you download anything.
