Lounge Access Help!

Does anyone really know what is going to happen with regards Lounge access. I fly Dublin/London, majority of trips in Economy but am a Silver card holder,I have contacted DC, but have got so many different stories(I feel so sorry for staff there as it appears they are not receiving communication), the latest which I was told today is that Silver and Gold card holders might have option to pay for access from December, and that from August, you may or may not get in on an tiny ticket and that it would be pot luck!! eh?

They seem unable to answer the question which is what is the minimum amount I will have to pay in order to get Lounge access on a silver card,at what level of tiny/economy fare will I have to pay, do they know???? I am seriously considering switching to Aer Lingus. :td:

Actually if lounge access is your main aim then EI is not that bad an option for DUB-LHR. Even the cheapest 4euro fares still earn standard uk mileage and it only take 1 trip in Y per month, per year, to keep Gold Circle and therefore have lounge access. Thankfully ive held onto my card so im gonna start putting my DUB-LHR Y trips back onto EI.

Thanks for this info. I have been researching EI the last day or so, and may well join up, Dublin lounge is quite large, LHR lounge-have not been in.

However as far as I am aware NOTHING has been decided as yet, as to what changes will take place to DC,I have been given several different contradictory answers from DC, from no change to take place to a payment to enter DC if you are traveling tiny fares.
