Preference for on-line statements
I got an e-mail from bmi today stating:
"You have recently selected a preference to view your statement on-line and we will no longer post you a statement." I don't remember doing this, and have asked them to reinstate my postal statements. Has anyone else had the e-mail? I'd only prefer on-line statements if they held details for more than two months and were a sight better than the current ones. Looks like a blatant cost cutting attempt, with no benefit for the customer. Nick |
I've got the same email - and I couldn't agree with you more!
If they wanted to give us some kind of bonus for helping them save money then I might consider it - but this is a very cheaky move indeed! Perhaps they could give us the full 25% bonus instead of the cryptic "miles flown" cop-out! Richard |
Yes, and it is irritating, 'cos it would be good to get regular (but maybe not monthly - that's a bit superfluous, no?) paper statements too.
However, I'm sure I ticked a box on getting email statements at some point (thinking they were supplementary to, rather than instead of, paper ones). For example, I suspect it may have been on the 2000 bonus miles questionnaire on the DC miles website. |
bmi responded to my e-mail and have reinstated my paper statements.
Apparently it was on the 2,000 bonus miles questionnaire. I don't remember it well, but think that at the time I thought it was a hypothetical question. Thought they would have developed proper on-line statements first. Hopefully it does mean that they are looking at improving the functionality of the website. I understand BA's Executive Club lets you do a lot more on-line. Nick |
