Standby for an earlier flight on a Q fare?

I'm doing EDILHR on the 12th but am booked ont he last flight leaving... Can I go to the airport for the flight before and standby? Or would BD not let me?

Obviously not unless you pay the difference to match the fare available on the BD63 or a change fee if there is Q available. They're pretty hot on revenue protection these days so going earlier can't be taken for granted any more.

Of course, it can't hurt to ask. The 12th being a Wednesday, both the BD63 and the BD65 may be very quiet. The ticket desk are helpful on the whole.

Ok, I will probably ask upon arrival in EDI to see what they say. If they give me a frown, I'll show up for the last flight and enjoy EDI for an extra couple of hours...

Anyone going to be on BD56 on the 11th or BD65 on the 12th?

Any suggestions on a good place to have fish and chips? And "must sees" at this time of year? I've been to the Castle before, so that's not hot stuff for me...

That will be a complete waste of time. Most of BD's cheap tickets are changeable for a £25 fee. If there is availability in Q class then you are fine. If not, you will be charged £25 plus the difference between Q and the next class.
